GO Fit FAQs
What is a typical workout like?
Each day is different. Workouts may include running sprints on the track, relays, drills in the sand, pilates, hills, games, team competitions, rowing and other exciting adventures. The first and last class are dedicated to the assessing your strength and endurance. We will do a timed 2 mile run/walk. This is at YOUR own pace. We will also do a 1:00 push-up and 1:00 sit up test. You will see your improvement in all three of these areas when we repeat the same tests on the last day of class. Every class ends with an intense ab workout, cool down and stretch.

Where are classes held?
GO Fit Boot Camp is available at Town Lake and Circle C.

  • Town Lake meets in the public parking lot under the Mopac Bridge next to Austin High School.

  • Circle C meets next to the playground inside the Circle C Metropolatin Park on Slaughter Creek.

After we meet, you never know where we might end up! We try to utiliz
e as many different areas as possible.

What kind of results can I expect?
Of course, everyone is different. You can count on an increase in muscular strength, endurance and speed. Your clothes will begin to fit better, your muscles will feel tighter and you will have more energy! We guarantee that you will feel better about yourself and your body!

What do I need to bring to class?
You will need a large towel or yoga mat and water (we recommend 2 bottles during hot summer months).

What should I wear?
Regular workout clothes and a good pair of athletic shoes.  We recommend getting fitted for the appropriate shoes for you.  All shoes are designed for different needs.  Being in the wrong pair can lead to shin splints, foot pain and other injuries. It is also important to replace them when needed.

What if
it rains?
GO Fit meets rain or shine.

I haven't worked out in a while, what if I can't do it?

Our program is designed for everyone. We have had all ages and fitness levels participate. The workouts are progressive from the first day to the last. Our number one priority is your safety. We will offer modifications for exercises if you need them and will be there to help you along the way.

I was an athlete in college, will it be a good enough workout for me?
Uh, YES! Again, our workouts are designed to challenge everyone at his or her own fitness level.

I will out of town for 2 days of the session.  Do you ever prorate the class?

If you know you will be missing certain days before the session begins, we will be happy to prorate the class.  Once you pay and the class starts, no refunds will be given.

What if I have to miss my morning class?  Can I make it up in the evening?

Yes, we want you to get the most out of the 3 week session.  You are welcome to attend any of the four daily classes.  We do however encourage you to make it to the class that you originally registered for.

Okay, what is the cost and how do I pay?
The cost of the 3 week session is $195 for newbies (that's only $16.25 per class), $175 for veterans and groups of four or more.  GO Fit accepts cash, checks and PayPal.  Please make checks out to GO Fit and mail to 7313 Brecourt Manor Way, Austin, TX 78739.  Please use email address info@gofitaustin.com for PayPal.  If paying by cash, please bring the first day of class.
